Catalog: M2M_CATALOG Location: Earth Event Time: 2026-07-21T10:05Z ( SOLAR-1: MAG ) Quality of ICME Signature: -1 (unspecified) Note: Signature characterized by jump in B_total from ~8nT to ~17nT. The sharp jump in B_total is accompanied by a jump in solar wind speed from ~325 km/s to ~400 km/s and a jump in temperature from ~215k K to ~590k K. The jump in B_total was preceded by two smaller increases in magnetic field. The first began at 2026-07-20T22:46Z, and the second, more gradual increase began around 2026-07-21T06:02Z. The second increase in B_total was also accompanied by an increase in temperature prior to the larger jump in temperature associated with the third (2026-07-21T10:05Z) increase in B_total. Density has been steadily increasing starting as early as 2026-07-20T12:18Z. This signature is still developing and is under analysis.
